The "Ehrenkreuzes der Deutschen Mutter" or Honor Cross of the German Mother was issued in three
classes these being Bronze, Silver & Gold. The class of medal awarded depended upon the number of
children which the mother bore for the Third Reich. The Honor Cross of the German Mother in Silver was
issued to mothers who had 6 or 7 children. The reverse of the medal features the 16 Dec 1938
commemorative date of the medals inception as well as a facsimile signature of Adolf Hitler.
